etherealite.

Etherealites are false forms composed of direct light. No lens is used; instead, I shape and filter the light by hand to control its intensity before it reaches the bare sensor. During processing, patterns and structures emerge that resemble the forms of cells, wings, and waves.

Conventional photography records reflected light; I wanted to capture the light itself. My goal was to create something from nothing, to come as close as possible to a pure act of creation.
